What Is HRA Moving
Assistance in NYC?
The NYC Human Resources Administration (HRA) — part of the Department of Social Services — provides financial assistance to eligible New Yorkers who need help covering the cost of a move. If you qualify for public assistance, face an emergency eviction, or are in transitional housing, HRA may cover your entire moving cost at no out-of-pocket expense.
